Since pioneering Indonesian port-style wine with Mascetti in 2017 and capturing elegant day-and-aperitif moments with Mistelle in 2020, these creations have stood as proud symbols of our artisanal dedication.

This benchmark release represents a matured perspective—reimagining timeless European traditions through our unique tropical terroir to fulfill the discerning demands of today’s modern, upscale lifestyle.

Each bottle in the collection has been meticulously upgraded, bringing a new level of sophistication from the inside out:

• Refined Wine Profile: Both expressions return to the market with significantly evolved liquids, featuring a cleaner, drier finish and a more balanced sweetness derived naturally from our premium grape harvests.

• New Classic Look: Each bottle now boasts a sophisticated new label design that beautifully mirrors the premium craft, maturity, and structural depth found inside.

• Artisanal Heritage: Proudly staying true to our deeply rooted vineyard-to-glass philosophy, both expressions are fortified exclusively with Sababay’s own house-distilled grape spirits to maintain absolute control over origin and quality.

Mistelle: The Radiant Indulgence

Crafted from 100% Muscat Saint Vallier grapes, Mistelle (18% ABV) is a brilliant Vin de Liqueur designed for vibrant, daylight elegance. It bursts with the bright, floral characteristics of the Muscat grape, beautifully balanced by a clean, refreshing sweetness.

• How to Serve: Enjoy it well-chilled, or French-style as Vin à la Piscine—poured over plenty of ice in a large glass.

• Best Enjoyed For: Poolside moments, sunlit afternoon gatherings, golden hour sunset aperitifs, gifting, or relaxed indulgence alongside light desserts.

Mascetti: The Quiet Power

In beautiful contrast sits Mascetti (19% ABV), a Vintage Ruby Port-Style wine crafted from a fine blend of Shiraz and Alphonse Lavallée grapes. Its name is inspired by the village of Masceti and the iconic Masceti Beach in Gianyar, close to the winery, where the black beautiful shiny volcanic sand reflects the liquid's own silky, dark ruby color.

What makes Mascetti distinctive on the global stage is its rare Vintage Ruby story. Unlike standard non-vintage ruby ports that are commonly blended from multiple years, Mascetti is crafted from a single harvest year. This gives the wine a powerful premium identity: one harvest, one vintage, one distinctive character. Each bottle perfectly captures the structure, depth, and personality of that specific Balinese harvest.

This delicate balance is guided by Sababay's Head Winemaker, Guillaume Quéron, who brings 24 years of Bordeaux experience and a background shaped by the prestigious Saint-Émilion "Garage Wine" movement to Bali’s volcanic terroir.

"Mascetti is not a wine for rushing. It is created for meaningful pauses—an intimate dinner, a private conversation, a premium cigar, or a moment of reflection after a long day," says Quéron. "With this relaunch, we want Mascetti to speak to people who value craftsmanship, confidence, and quiet sophistication."
